Mr. Francis Lim migrated from Malaysia. He graduated from Monash University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Economics and in 1981 a Bachelor of Law. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia on the 4th December 1981. Since his admission as an Advocate & Solicitor, Francis practised mainly in Business Law, Commercial Litigation, Building Arbitration, Banking & Finance and Wills & Probate. He has appeared regularly in the courts of Malaysia as Counsel.

Francis was admitted to practise as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of Victoria in March 2001. He worked as a Senior Solicitor at Testart Robinson, Lawyers & Consultants in Box Hill from March 2001 until 14 April 2003 in Commercial Litigation, Family Law, Migration Law, Banking & Finance Law, Commercial Law & Conveyancing, Building Disputes & Arbitration, and Wills & Probate.

Francis speaks fluent English, Malaysian/Indonesian language, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and Hokkien. The languages used in the Malaysian Courts where he has practised for 20 years are the Malaysian language and English. He also has a network of business contacts in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and China.    

Francis is one of a very small number of Chinese-speaking Barristers & Solicitors who regularly takes on litigation matters and appears regularly in Courts to conduct litigation, often as Counsel. Apart from English-speaking clients, he will invariably represent many Chinese-speaking clients who are involved in litigation in areas such as commercial litigation, wills & probate as well as family and building disputes.

Ms. PAULINE CHIA

Ms Pauline Chia was admitted to practise as a Barrister & Solicitor of Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia in 1997.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (majoring in Psychology and Criminology), a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Laws degree (majoring in Commercial Law).

Pauline has had experience working in different areas of practice including family law, litigation, wills, commercial Law and property matters.  Since 2000, she has been practising mainly in the areas of Family Law and general Litigation.  She acts in a range of matrimonial and domestic relationship matters including complex property settlements, children’s matters, binding financial agreements and appears in the Federal Magistrates Court, Family Court and County Court.

With her wide experience and background in Psychology, Pauline is sensitive to her clients' needs. Coupled with her strong analytical and negotiation skills, Pauline always aims to achieve the best possible and most practical outcome for her clients.

Pauline can speak, read and write fluent English, Mandarin, Hakka and Cantonese.

MR. DAVID LIM

Mr. David Lim is the eldest son of Francis Lim. He speaks and writes fluent English and Malay/Indonesian language.

David graduated with a Bachelor of Business Systems and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University in 2006. David was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 2007 as a Barrister & Solicitor. David practises in the area of Commercial Litigation, Commercial Law & Conveyancing, Trade Marks and Wills & Probate.

Mr SHENGGUO LU

Mr Shengguo Lu was originally from Guangzhou, China. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He graduated from the Foreign Affairs College, Beijing China with a Bachelor of Laws in International Affairs in 1989. He was qualified to practise law in China in 1995.

Shengguo worked as an export business representative of China House Enterprises Ltd, Guangzhou, China from 1989 to 2001. He has wide experience in dealing with people of multicultural background. He was successful in helping his previous company to develop an export business from China to Middle East countries as well as African countries of Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

From March 2001 to June 2003, Shengguo worked as a Law Clerk with Testart Robinson, Lawyers & Consultants undertaking conveyancing and migration matters. He is a Registered Migration Agent since early 2002.

Dennis Lim is the second son of Francis Lim. He speaks and writes fluent English and Malay/Indonesian language.

Dennis graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2007. He obtained his Registered Tax Agent Licence in September 2008.
